We have been providing a variety of Horticultural, Agricultural, Forestry and Grounds Maintenance Services to our clients in Wellington, Kapiti and the Wairarapa for over 30 years. This job role will involve Grounds Maintenance tasks primarily Linetrimming and Large Kubota ride-on Mowing of Schools, Parks and Reserves. Some work may involve Spraying, Weeding, Planting, Mulching, assisting with Treework and other jobs surrounding the Grounds Maintenance sector. Keen to get paid come rain, hail or shine? At C3 Ltd we have a permanent position available with a guaranteed minimum number of hours, equivalent to 40 hours per week. Rates of pay start at $30.90 per hour for experienced, competent operators. Our operation runs 24/7 and operates in most weathers. Staff need to be flexible with their working hours as there are a range of shifts that are influenced by shipping schedules. Plant Operators drive heavy machinery on the wharf for the loading and unloading of logs from trucks and rail as they arrive at the port. The Operators ensure that the logs are safely moved and stacked neatly and accurately in rows, so that they can be moved to the ship's side when they are required to be loaded onto log vessels. C3 operate a variety of heavy machinery including High Stackers and Pivot Steers with log grapples. As the role involves operating large machinery in a confined space on the wharf accuracy, attention to detail and a strong focus on Health & Safety are a priority. You will hold a minimum of a full Class 1 licence with W endorsement and preferably have forestry experience in a log fleeting environment or similar. Training opportunities are available for the right candidates if you haven't operated this kind of machinery before but are motivated to learn new skills and develop a career. You will be reliable, flexible and committed with the ability to work to deadlines and perform well in a team environment. As part of the selection process, you will need to demonstrate your abilities in a practical pre-employment assessment. Adventure of a lifetime We are looking for 1 seasonal Process Worker who can start immediately and commit to a full-time assignment up until Christmas, working in our factory processing blue cod and paua. The Chatham Islands lie 750 km to the east of New Zealand's South Island. Moana is one of the biggest employers on the island, which is home to a small community of people, surrounded by pristine waters, that are world renowned for their rock lobster (crayfish), paua (abalone) and blue cod, that are sustainably harvested on these islands. Our Opportunity: If you would like to gain experience working in processing and have a great work ethic, attitude and are reliable we are happy to train you. Alternatively, if you have previous processing and/or knife hand experience we can provide opportunities to develop your skills and experience in the seafood industry. The role is focused on processing seafood; grading, packing, and transporting of fish, and sometimes paua and lobster.
