Purpose of the Role * As the public face of our stores, you'll build meaningful relationships with local groups, manage sponsorships, and represent Mitre 10 at community events. You'll also lead marketing efforts across multiple channels, creating engaging content and visuals that showcase our commitment to the community. Key Responsibilities Community Engagement & Sponsorships * Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, community groups, and local organisations * Manage sponsorship requests and partnerships aligned with Mitre 10's values * Work closely with the other Mitre 10 marketing Coordinator's within Christchurch. * Represent Mitre 10 MEGA Ferrymead and Prestons at community events Marketing & Promotions * Plan and execute campaigns across social media, print, radio, and more * Collaborate with internal teams to promote in-store events and seasonal campaigns * Create compelling content that highlights our community involvement Design & Visual Communication * Design signage, billboards, and promotional materials using tools like Adobe InDesign * Ensure brand consistency across all communications Budgeting & Planning * Manage marketing and sponsorship budgets * Track and report on campaign performance and engagement outcomes What We're looking for * Proven experience in marketing and/or community engagement * Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills * Flexible availability for occasional weekend/evening events * Creative thinker with a proactive attitude * Skilled in design platforms (Adobe InDesign, Canva) * Understanding of Mitre 10's role in the local community Desirable Attributes * Passion for community development * Ability to work independently and collaboratively * Familiarity with retail environments and customer experience Ready to make a difference in your community while growing your marketing career?   Apply now and become a key part of the Mitre 10 MEGA Ferrymead and Prestons team!
