Part of Alpine Buildings NZ Ltd, Attika has decades of experience and a proven track record behind it.   About the Role In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for the installation of a variety of structural steel components, including portals, purlins, and bracing. You'll also be a key player in installing long-run roofing and cladding. Working as part of a small team, you will execute project tasks efficiently, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.   Who We're Looking For We need someone with a strong work ethic and a desire to grow with our client’s company. The ideal candidate: * Is a team player: You're eager to learn, comfortable taking direction, and willing to adapt to our established processes. * Is physically capable: You maintain a good level of physical fitness suitable for manual labour and are comfortable working at heights. * Communicates effectively: You have good English communication skills. * Is dedicated: You're looking for stable, long-term employment. * Resides locally: You love living in Mid-South Canterbury and want to stay here for the long term.   Required Skills & Experience The right person for this role will have hands-on experience and a solid skill set, including: * Rigging: Competence in rigging is a must. * Machinery Operation: You will be skilled in operating telehandlers/forklifts, cranes, and scissor lifts/EWPs. * Technical Skills: You can read and interpret structural plans, and have experience bolting beams/portals and installing cold form purlins. * Roofing & Cladding: Experience handling and installing long-run roofing materials and flashings is essential. * Additional Skills: Experience with steel reinforcing, formwork, concrete placement, and door installation (including roller doors and shutters) is highly valued.   If you're a skilled construction labourer ready to commit to a long-term role with a supportive team, we want to hear from you!
