We're looking for experienced Excavator Operators to join our Christchurch-based Surfacing team. This is a great opportunity to be part of projects that help shape the local community across the wider South Island. This is a fulltime role, normally working approximately 50 hours a week and sometimes required to work up to 60 hours. Night work may be required upon occasion as will travel across the motu. What you'll be doing * Operating excavators safely and efficiently on civil construction sites * Carrying out deep excavations for foundations, services, and structures * Working on drainage installation (stormwater, wastewater, and other services) * Assisting with trenching, backfilling, and site preparation * Supporting the team to deliver earthworks and pavement projects on time, to spec, and safely What we're looking for * 3 Years proven experience operating excavators in heavy civil construction * Strong skills in deep excavation * Competency with trench shoring, trench safety, and working around live services * A current WTR endorsement (Class 2 or higher licence preferred) * Commitment to health & safety and working as part of a team What's in it for you?
