Our client has long-term projects and are now seeking 4 Carpenters to join their growing team. These roles will be based in the Auckland region, but you could be required to work in Northland and Waikato region, depending on the clients’ needs. Accommodation and relocation costs will be covered by the client for the first two weeks of assignment and while travelling for work. You will be offered: - Permanent employment in line with NZ employment law, with a competitive remuneration package to match your experience ($30-$35 per hour) - 30-hour work week guaranteed. Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm. - Work for a recognised and successful kiwi company To be successful for this role, you need to have the following skills and 2 years’ verifiable work experience in the construction industry. Successful candidates should have the following skills and experience: - Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures - Ordering and selecting timbers and materials and preparing layouts - Cutting materials and assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts - Erecting framework and roof framing, laying sub-flooring and floorboards and verifying the trueness of structures - Nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames - Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install - Cutting wood joints - May construct concrete formwork - May repair existing fittings - May work with plastic laminates, perspex and metals If you think you have the skills, experience and work ethic we are looking for, please click the APPLY button and send your CV.
