Mortgage Advisor

Our client is a locally owned, independent mortgage advisory firm based in central Hamilton. For nearly 10 years, they have helped hundreds of client’s secure home loans with confidence. Due to ongoing growth, they are looking for a Mortgage Advisor to join their close-knit team. This is an ideal role for someone with a banking or lending background who's ready to step up, build on their skills, and grow into a full Mortgage Adviser position over time. About the Role You’ll work closely with two Senior Mortgage Advisers and a team of 7 support staff to manage the end-to-end lending process. A typical week might include: - Assessing clients’ creditworthiness and preparing loan applications - Submitting deals to lenders and workshopping applications with BDMs - Liaising with clients, real estate agents, solicitors, and other third parties - Prospecting and developing new customer relationships - Providing tailored advice on loan structures and lending strategies You’ll need to juggle competing priorities and tight deadlines — but you’ll always have strong support from the team. Client Manager Location: Hamilton Reports To: Senior Mortgage Broker / Regional Manager Join the team and help clients achieve their home ownership dreams! Our client is looking for a Client Manager who is passionate about delivering exceptional service and thrives in a fast-paced financial services environment. In this role, you’ll be the key link between clients, brokers, and lenders—ensuring a smooth and stress-free home loan journey. What You’ll Do - Manage Client Relationships: Be the primary point of contact, provide timely updates, and build strong connections that encourage repeat business and referrals. - Support Loan Applications: Assist brokers with preparing and submitting applications, collecting documentation, and monitoring progress to ensure timely approvals. - Ensure Compliance & Accuracy: Maintain client files in line with industry regulations, keep CRM records up to date, and support audit preparation. - Liaise with Lenders & Stakeholders: Communicate with lenders, conveyancers, and real estate agents to facilitate smooth settlements while staying informed on product changes. - Drive Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to enhance client service and operational efficiency. What We’re Looking For - Background or degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (preferred). - Understanding of home loan products and lending processes. - Experience in mortgage broking, banking, or financial services (preferred but not essential). - Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently. - Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office. - Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (desirable but not essential).
