Summary: Pakohe is seeking an experienced Kaiarahi to mentor and guide rangatahi, supporting their engagement and success in a classroom education program. Highlights: 1. To help with this we are seeking an experienced, capable Kaiarahi to provide additional support to our students. In this position you will be working one-to-one with students providing them mentoring and guidance to ensure they engage with and benefit from our classroom education programme. You’ll be working in the classroom environment and will also be required to contribute to reporting and other classroom administration. Our ideal candidate will be: • trained in youth work, social services, or education • have a proven track record in building relationships with young people, including those from challenging backgrounds • a master at being flexible to respond to the needs of our young people • committed to working within the professional boundaries outlined in Te Ara Taohi.
