Our aircraft are fitted with GPS technology for accurate placement of fertiliser enabling our customers to maximise farm productivity whilst reducing the environmental impact. The company currently has 13 operational aircraft supported by more than 35 Loader trucks capable of loading and spreading different fertilizer types across different regions in NZ. A complete Engineering department maintains aircraft and manufactures specialised aircraft parts. **About the Role:** As Supply Manager, you’ll ensure the efficient procurement, storage, and distribution of parts and materials to support our maintenance operations. You will ensure compliance with aviation regulations such as CAA and company standards, monitor and process component repairs, and implement supply chain efficiencies. You’ll provide advice and recommendations to the Engineering Manager, ensuring Aerowork is operating safely and efficiently. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage procurement and supply chain activities for operational and engineering requirements - Source goods and services from approved suppliers, ensuring regulatory and technical compliance - Monitor store stock levels, purchasing processes, and implement cost-effective delivery - Control repair cycles and component processing to maintain adequate stock - Assemble and dispatch spares packages for scheduled maintenance - Ensure all documentation meets CAA and company standards - Conduct regular stock takes and inventory management - Maintain health, safety, quality, and environmental standards **About You:** You’ll be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to safety and wellbeing. This diverse role will see you based in Palmerston North in Manawatu, where you will be part of the team performing field-based or site-based repairs and maintenance on a large fleet of our Forklifts for our customers across your assigned area and working through our well-equipped Workshop. We have both mechanical battery electric and internal combustion Forklifts with a significant number of different models within the two categories giving you the opportunity to develop and increase your skills. And all whilst ensuring that we provide exceptional service to our customers - the greatest purpose of our teams is to work together with our customers and support them to keep their businesses on the go! You’ll have the chance to learn our products, and this will give you the opportunity to progress in the business and the organisation. Crown product knowledge would be a real bonus, but we have heaps of great training materials, if you’re a willing learner! This is a permanent, full time role, working Mondays to Fridays with on-call duties and the opportunity for some paid overtime. Requirements About you Ideally, we’re looking for candidates with a minimum of 3 years' Material Handling Equipment experience or Auto Electrical, Diesel or Motor Mechanic experience and / or trade qualification or hydraulics experience (or similar overseas qualification). To really shine in this role, you'll bring your customer-centric and solutions-focused attitude, as you support our valued customers with service they can trust. You'll work in a collaborative team environment, so being a team player and being prepared to support the team is essential. Being IT savvy and an agile learner will stand you in good stead. The ability to build rapport and relationships should be one of your strengths as is your attention to detail and you’ll be IT savvy too. There will be manual handling required and so you’ll also need to be physically fit. Please note, a full pre-employment medical, including a drug & alcohol test, as well as valid drivers’ license will be required. In addition, as part of your initial and ongoing training you must be able to travel to Australia (NZ passport or the eligibility to obtain an AUS visa).
