Hotspot Fires & Installations Ltd is a locally owned, family-run Southland business specialising in the installation, servicing and repairs of: * Wood burners * Pellet fires * Multi-fuel burners We’re one of Southland’s leading installers/retailers, and our workload continues to grow. (We’re after quality people - no time-wasters.) # The Role We’re looking for a serious, reliable Fire Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone practical and capable, who takes pride in their work and is prepared to turn up switched on and ready to go. The role includes: * Installing wood, pellet and multi-fuel burners * Servicing and repairing fires * Problem-solving on-site * Working independently and managing your own workload * Working safely at heights * Representing the business professionally in customers’ homes # What We’re Looking For This role is for someone who: * Is confident using power tools * Can think ahead and solve problems * Works well unsupervised * Takes pride in their work and appearance * Is physically fit and comfortable working at heights * Has good people skills with customers and teammates * Holds a clean, full NZ driver’s licence * Industry experience is an advantage, but attitude, reliability and effort matter just as much. # What We Offer: * $27–$40 per hour (based on experience) * Company vehicle * Tool allowance and work gear supplied * Paid day off for your birthday * Ongoing training and support toward certification * Stable, long-term employment with a growing local business # Important If you’re applying just to tick a box, or you’re not prepared to read the advert and take the interview seriously, this role is not for you.
