Strong potential for long-term or permanent opportunities The Role Are you an experienced asphalt operator who knows their way around a paver, roller, or milling machine? We're looking for someone confident on the gear and comfortable jumping into hands-on work to help keep our region's roads in top condition. Key Responsibilities: * Operate asphalt machinery including pavers, rollers, asphalt milling equipment, and small diggers. * Assist with prep, laying, raking, compaction, pothole repairs, chip sealing, and general roading maintenance. * Use hand tools and small machinery such as plate compactors, saws, and jackhammers. * Set up safe work zones and support basic traffic management. * Work as part of a tight-knit team to deliver high-quality surface work across the region. Hours: Monday to Friday, early starts (around 6am), with optional Saturday work depending on workload and weather. Overtime available during peak periods. What You'll Need: * WTR endorsements - essential. * Proven experience with asphalt machinery (pavers, rollers, mills). * Full licence preferred. * Good physical fitness and willingness to get stuck in. * Able to pass a Ministry of Justice check and drug test. * Must currently live in NZ with valid work rights.
