Our clients are seeking Traffic Controllers to assist them with the management of traffic and pedestrian movement across various locations in and around Invercargill and the greater Southland region. Job Description  You will be working in a team environment under the guidance and instruction of experienced staff, ensuring that fellow employees and the public are kept safe as they move through the work-site.  Tasks include:  * Assisting the Site Supervisor by placing signage and cones at the location of work. * Communicating with fellow Traffic Controllers, using a hand-held radio to ensure the smooth flow of traffic through the work-site. * Clearly communicating with the public in a friendly manner. * Dealing promptly with any breaches, such as vehicles failing to follow your directions. * Piloting vehicles safely  through work sites  * Physically able to stand for long periods of time in varying weather conditions.  Job Requirements  * Class 1 Driver's license (Restricted Minimum will be considered). * Construct safe Card (preferable). * Excellent verbal communication. * Ability to resolve any situation of conflict in a calm and professional manner.  * Physical fitness to assist in the  loading  & unloading of  signs & sandbags from vehicles * Able to work at short notice and in a casual role as and when required role Job Benefits * Competitive Pay Rates based on experience and qualifications. * Weekly Pay. * Full PPE supplied at no cost to you. * Potential for on-going work across different work sites.
