This leadership role is hands-on and ideal for someone who is proactive safety-focused and confident managing both workload and people. Location: Bluff Status: Full-time Monday to Friday Specific Responsibilities: - Lead the day-to-day operation of the Bluff workshop - Supervise and support a small mechanical team - Plan and prioritise workload to meet operational requirements - Oversee servicing repairs and maintenance of heavy plant and port equipment - Ensure H&S procedures reporting and safe work practices are consistently followed - Maintain workshop standards documentation and compliance - Available for rostered callouts Who we're after: - NZQA Level 4 Automotive Heavy Engineering qualification or an NZQA-recognised equivalent - A genuine self-starter with strong planning and organisational skills - Proven ability to lead motivate and support a workshop team - Skilled in diagnosing repairing and maintaining heavy machinery - Strong safety mindset with a commitment to Zero Harm About us Qube Ports NZ is a nationwide service provider offering a comprehensive range of cargo logistics stevedoring marshalling transportation warehousing services and IT solutions.
