Due to an increased workload, we are looking for a General Engineer. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone who likes variety and is willing to work Monday – Friday, where no two days are the same. The job is based at our workshop in Te Awamutu, servicing and repairing agricultural farm machinery and equipment. The job is physical, and you will be expected to have a certain amount of engineering ability. We are looking for a motivated, committed and physically able, “hands-on” person. You will need to be a practical, mechanically minded thinker, and able to problem solve on the go. We have an amazing team who get the job done while enjoying themselves. Farmline Services are looking to hire someone who… * Has worked with tools and equipment, preferably in a workshop environment, but not essential. * Has some experience with MIG welding and gas cutting. * Is able to work independently when set to tasks and is adaptable. * Can work at an efficient pace to complete jobs in a timely manner. * Has forklift experience but is not essential. * Is competent using a computer & able to type clear job descriptions. * Has a positive attitude towards Health & Safety. * Is able to pass a standard pre-employment drug and alcohol test. * Holds a full NZ Drivers’ License and is a NZ Resident.
