Central Otago District Libraries is looking for a Library Learning Coordinator to lead the design and delivery of programmes and activities for all ages, from babies to seniors. This is a role for someone who loves people, loves libraries, and wants to make a real difference in our community. Key Responsibilities:  As our Library Learning Coordinator, you will: * Create, plan, and deliver engaging library programmes for children, youth, adults, newcomers, and seniors. * Support our smaller libraries with programme planning and ideas. * Assess current programmes to ensure they meet the needs of our community. * Apply for grants to support events and programming. * Carry out frontline library duties as part of the Alexandra team. * Build strong relationships with community groups, partners, and stakeholders. * Hours are Mon- Friday with a rostered Saturday and availability to run library events or activities outside of normal hours is a must. You’ll be part of a friendly, committed library team and play an important role in bringing people together through lifelong learning and connection. About You:  We’re looking for someone who is: * Friendly, outgoing, creative, and community‑focused. * Confident speaking to groups and delivering activities for a wide age range. * Experienced in customer service or community-facing roles. * Skilled with online tools and technology. * Able to plan, organise, and lead projects from idea to delivery. * A strong communicator — both written and verbal. * Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. * Innovative and able to think outside the box. Qualifications & Experience: * A qualification in a related area. * Experience delivering events, programmes, or activities. * Experience applying for grants (an advantage). * A current full driver licence.
