We offer rest home, hospital, and dementia care to the elderly in 19 residential facilities throughout New Zealand, with ALden Rose Lodge located in Invercargill, Southland. We have a part-time opportunity for an experienced Cook to join our team at Rose Lodge on Fridays and Saturdays, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, with the potential of additional hours as and when needed for cover. You will be responsible for assisting with cooking in our on-site, commercial kitchen and ensuring that all nutritional requirements are met. About the Role: * Part-time hours, 2 days a week, 1 weekend day required * You will be providing nutritious and attractive meals to our residents. * The menu is on a 4-week rotation. * Ensuring excellent food hygiene practice at all times * Work unsupervised and cope with a busy environment * Cleaning up food preparation areas and kitchens * Operating the dishwasher * Handling food deliveries About You: * Savvy knowledge of food prep and safety * Knowledge of food safety standards (167/168) * Food Handling Certificate required. * Experience in a commercial setting is desired * Dedicated and reliable * Caring nature and passionate about working with the elderly * Excellent communication skills * Team player If you want to join our team, please apply today. ** Only applications with NZ work eligibilty can be considered for this position **
