Formwork Carpenter We’re on the lookout for an experienced Formwork Carpenter with a strong background in civil and structural work to join our team in Christchurch Central. Location: Christchurch Central Start date: Immediate Pay rate: $32 – $36 per hour (depending on experience), paid weekly What you’ll be doing: - Constructing, assembling, and installing formwork for a range of civil and structural concrete projects - Reading and interpreting plans, drawings, and specifications with a high level of accuracy - Working on foundations, retaining walls, slabs, columns, and large-scale structural elements - Measuring, cutting, and shaping materials to precise specifications - Stripping and repairing formwork as required - Ensuring all work meets quality standards and project deadlines - Collaborating with site teams to keep projects running smoothly - Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment on site What we’re looking for: - Proven experience as a Formwork Carpenter in civil and structural environments - Level 4 BCITO qualification in Carpentry (or equivalent) - Strong ability to read and work from plans independently - Full driver’s licence - Own tools to carry out formwork tasks - Physically fit, reliable, and able to handle demanding site work - Willingness to travel for project work when required - Site Safe (preferred but not essential) What’s on offer: - Ongoing work with reputable clients - Travel opportunities across a variety of projects - Travel allowances provided - Variety of project work to keep things interesting Why work with Tradestaff?
