




McIntosh Farm Machinery, a proudly New Zealand-owned and family-run business, is looking for a reliable and qualified Production Welder to join our experienced fabrication team. This is a great opportunity to work on high-quality, agricultural machinery that’s designed and built right here in our Palmerston North workshop. You’ll play a key role in building products that are trusted on farms across New Zealand, Australia, and beyond. Skills and Experience Required * MIG welding and structural fabrication of heavy-duty farm machinery * Relevant welding and proven industry experience (Minimum 5 years) * Ability to read and work from detailed technical drawings and weld specifications * Operating equipment safely and efficiently, safety-first attitude and compliance with all H&S procedures * Maintaining a clean and organised work area * Assisting in quality control and final checks * Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards * Good communication and teamwork skills * Physically fit and able to handle the demands of a hands-on role Hours, Pay and Employment Conditions Pay Rate: NZD $27.00 – $35.00 per hour, depending on experience and capability. Pay will be reviewed based on performance and contribution. Guaranteed Hours: This is a full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, approximately 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, with opportunities for additional hours during busy periods. Overtime: Additional hours may be required at peak times. Employment Type: Permanent, full-time. Individual Employment Agreement provided. (This role is not covered by any collective agreement.) Leave Entitlements: Minimum of four weeks paid annual leave per year, plus all public holidays and other leave entitlements in line with New Zealand employment legislation.
