We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in the smooth running of our client’s organisation. This position blends HR leadership, financial management, governance support, and policy oversight, making it an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. Please note this is a temporary position. In this role, you will: - Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgets and forecasts, and lead the annual budget-setting process - Manage a team of 4–5 staff, including recruitment, onboarding, and supporting change processes - Ensure organisational consistency by maintaining and overseeing Board and management policies - Provide governance support by coordinating Board meetings, preparing papers, and taking minutes - Work closely with the Director to deliver on strategic initiatives What we’re looking for: - Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams - Solid background in financial management and operational planning - Excellent organisational and communication skills - Proven ability to support governance functions and senior leadership - A collaborative, proactive approach with the ability to balance detail and strategy This role is a chance to make a real impact in a values-driven organisation while working closely with the Director and Board. This is a short term opportunity to join a close knit team and aliviate some pressure. Please note the start date is immediate and you must be already based in Wellington with full working rights.
