We’re looking for a Compliance & Dispatch Coordinator to join our team and help us maintain the highest standards in driver logbook compliance in accordance with NZTA regulations, while supporting daily dispatch operations. About the Role In this dual-function position, you’ll play a key role in monitoring and ensuring driver logbook accuracy and compliance. You’ll also assist with dispatch coordination, helping to ensure our fleet runs smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities • Monitor and review driver logbooks daily to ensure full compliance with NZTA regulations. • Provide coaching and support to drivers regarding fatigue management and logbook accuracy. • Maintain records and prepare reports for audits and internal reviews. • Monitoring Vehicle Maintenance, Permits, RUC’s, and Rego's. • Coordinate with drivers to support the daily dispatch schedule. • Communicate with customers and internal teams to ensure timely pickups and deliveries. • Assist in route planning and resolve scheduling or compliance issues as they arise. What You’ll Bring • Strong knowledge of NZTA logbook and work-time rules (essential). • Previous experience in compliance, dispatch, or transport coordination (preferred). • Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. • Proficiency in transport/logistics software and Microsoft Office. • Ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple tasks. About the Job Log scaling is an NZQA accredited job, where a structured training programme can gain you a recognised qualification. You don't need previous experience in this type of role either as training is provided. The Checkpoint is a facility where logging trucks come to have their logs measured and ticketed ready for export. The Log Scaler manually "scales" or measures each log using an international standard, then barcodes the log and scans it into our system so that every single log can be tracked wherever it is. The Checkpoint is a team environment where the safety of our staff is paramount. Hours are varied with the Checkpoint operating 5 days a week Monday to Friday. The Checkpoint operates between the hours of 0330am and 1730hours - but is subject to change dependent on customer requirements. Shifts can be up to 12 hours in length and there is a guaranteed number of hours per month, along with a starting rate of $27.04 per hour. About you You will be the kind of person who likes to be accurate when taking measurements, with good attention to detail. You will also enjoy communicating with truck drivers and members of your team. This is an active outdoor role that requires you to be physically fit and also be ok on your feet for most of your shift. You will also be confident operating scanning equipment and preferably hold a full class 1 licence.
