Focus on quality workmanship and safe practices We’re looking for a Certified Drainlayer/Operator to join our well established company, based in Riverhead. Jet Waste & Water is a small locally owned drainage and sewage-treatment company that specialise in residential drainage. We offer: • Competitive pay, based on experience • Friendly team environment • Payment of annual renewal of licences • Permanent full time work • Guaranteed 40hrs per week Monday to Friday The successful applicant will have the following skillset: • Certified drainlayer - essential; • Class 2 drivers licence - essential • Loading and transporting diggers - essential • Experience operating diggers/machinery - essential • Laying and repairing stormwater and sewer drains • Site prep, clean up, re-instatement • Trenching, laying pipe, backfilling • Assembling, installing piping valves and fittings • Spotting machine operators, assisting in tasks, and doing some medium-intensity physical work • Communicating with team members, supervisors and clients • Studying drawings and specifications to determine the layout of systems and materials required • Keeping records of jobs and produce detailed work reports, parts used, time on site etc About You: • Must be physically fit • Reliable, punctual and hardworking • Strong work ethic • Readiness to work in all weather conditions • Enjoy working with others • Positive with a can-do attitude • Take pride in the work you complete everyday • Class 1 and 2 licences essential • Able to drive manual vehicles • Reliable transport to and from our yard as your day starts and ends at the yard • At least 2 work references that are contactable • Committed to safe working practices NZ residency is a must.
