About the Role We are looking for Machine Operators to join our team at our plant based in Airport Oaks. We are looking to fill our overnight shift which is 11:00PM Sunday night - 07:00AM Friday morning. You will be responsible for monitoring machine output, ensuring the products meet client specifications and all products are completed to a high standard of quality. If you do not have experience in machine operating in a manufacturing environment, full training will be provided. This role does require some heavy lifting so it is required that you are physically fit. You will attend a full site induction and food safety course, as well as full training on SOPs and you will have the opportunity to progress through the levels - this is encouraged. Main Duties: * Maintain continuous operation of extrusion machines * Help the experienced Operator's in setting up materials and machinery * Maintain optimum machine output in line with the production plan * All scrap is monitored and minimised where possible * Strive to upskill and nominate areas for potential improvement Skills & Requirements * Demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills; as well as good mechanical understanding * Ideally you have come from a background operating machinery in a factory environment * Reliable transport to get yourself to and from work * Possess a keen and positive attitude and can easily adapt and learn new systems * Must be a team player * Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and have no criminal convictions * Thorough with good attention to detail * Physically fit and able to do some heavy lifting About the Company Our client is a global manufacturer of flexible packaging for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, medical and personal care industries.
