




Compactor Maintenance Tradesperson Our client is seeking a trade-qualified Maintenance Tradesperson to perform inspections, servicing, and repairs on compactors, containers, and associated equipment. This role will begin as a hands-on trades position within the team, with the opportunity to take on on-call work and develop into a senior or supervisory role over time, potentially leading to future involvement in operations or team leadership. * Location: East Tamaki, Auckland * Hours: Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm & future rostered on-call work (24/7 availability) * Pay: Starting rate $30ph - negotiable based on experience (& on-call allowances) Duties * Inspect, service and repair compactors and associated machinery * Diagnose and maintain hydraulic systems * Respond to after-hours breakdowns (on a rostered 24/7 basis) * Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs and inspections * Complete job sheets and workflow documentation * Order parts and consumables in line with inventory and budgets * Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good working order Successful applicants must be * Trade qualified in fabricating, fitting and/or welding * Qualified in welding to AS/NZS 2980 * Experienced in hydraulic system diagnostics and repair * An experienced forklift operator - ideally with current certification * Comfortable with rostered on-call work * A good team player with effective written & verbal communication skills * Self-motivated and have the ability and knowledge to work independently Desirable (but not essential) * Experience with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems) * Maintenance experience within the transport or waste industry * Full Class 4 driver's licence If you meet the above requirements please APPLY NOW with your current CV or call Ricky on 0212220927 for further information All applicants must be able to return a satisfactory Ministry of Justice criminal background check and pass a Pre-Employment Drug Test
