It produces medium-sized fruit with a smooth skin and juicy flesh. This evergreen shrub typically grows to 3 m tall and 2 m wide but is often trimmed to smaller sizes. Feijoa Unique is commonly grown for fruit production, trimmed into a hedge, used for screening, or added to a mixed planting. Feijoa Apollo is a grafted plant, producing large fruit in autumn. A heavy cropper. Will fruit without other feijoas around, but for consistent heavy crops, plant another. Feijoa sellowiana 'Mammoth' (Feijoa),Renowned for it's massive fruit, this plant forms an attractive, upright and spreading, evergreen tree that is drought tolerant and frost hardy. Also suitable for coastal areas. The fruits are produced in May and June, and have a sweet, aromatic flavour and delectable, soft, juicy pulp. Self-fertile.
