You are in a Priming Position when: Points are not stacked. Deep inner points (1,2,3) are not made. Spare checkers are well distributed. The position tells you what to do; you don't tell the position what to do. With a 6/5 roll most players will leap out to their 13 point. However, if you have a Priming Position, the correct play is two down (13/8 13/7) even though you expose the blot on your bar point to a loose hit.
