**2026 Auckland Backgammon Tournament** Date: January 19, 2026 – February 23, 2026 Venue: Galbraith’s Ale House 2 Mount Eden Road, Auckland The Good Home Birkenhead 83 Birkenhead Ave. Auckland Time: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM Entry Fee: NO ENTRY FEE Players: Only open to Backgammon Players living in or domiciled in Auckland. Format: Knockout Prize: Beautiful trophy. Will be in the possession of the winner until the next Auckland Backgammon Tournament. Only ANZBGF Members will be eligible for the trophy. Tournament Director (AJM) will use AI to determine positions in the knockout table. Knockout table and players list will be distributed to all registered players. Match will be 11 Points. Baffle boxes are Preferred. Tournament starts January 19, 2026. Players will have one week to finish each Round. Players will be required to contact their opponent and schedule a time / day to play the Match. All Matches must be live. No Matches are to be played on-line. Default Venue for those players living North of the bridge is The Good Home. Best time to play is any Monday 6:30 – 10:00. Default Venue for those players living South of the bridge is Galbraith’s. Best time to play is any Tuesday 6:00 – 10:00. **NOTE**: It is acceptable for two players to schedule a Match at a different Day / Time / Venue. However, both players must agree. If they can’t agree the default Venue is Galbraith’s for those players living South of the bridge or The Good Home for those players living North of the bridge. The default Venue for a player living South of the bridge and a player living North of the bridge is The Good Home. Players to report results to Tournament Director.
