




* Drive stakeholder, landowner, and regulatory engagement across projects * Coordinate engineers, consultants, and suppliers through design and approvals * Support commercial analysis, tenders, and project handover activities Position: Project Manager - Renewable Energy Location: Auckland Type: Full-time/Permanent Pay Range: $135,000 to $145,000 per year (depending on experience) Hours: Guaranteed at least 30 hours per week The Company: Our client is a leading renewable energy developer expanding into New Zealand, specialising in solar, wind, and storage projects. With a global footprint and a strong record in utility-scale clean energy, they are committed to accelerating the energy transition while engaging closely with local communities, stakeholders, and authorities. Key Responsibilities: As a Project Manager working under the International Development Department, you will engage in a broad range of engineering disciplines, including civil and electrical design, geotechnical analysis, grid connection and wind resource assessment. You will develop large-scale renewable energy projects from initial site identification through to handover to construction team; while collaborating with key stakeholders and management of technical consultants and suppliers. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Identifying new project opportunities, securing lease agreements, and managing relationships with landowners and communities. * Overseeing the regulatory approval process, technical design, and connection to transmission or distribution networks. * Coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering consultants, suppliers, and contractors to deliver tender-ready and financially viable projects. * Supporting construction contract negotiations and managing project handover to construction and operations teams. * Assessing and participating in public and private tenders for electricity procurement. * Applying project management and contract management skills to meet deadlines, budgets, and project milestones. To be successful in this role, you will need: * A tertiary qualification at/above bachelor's level (or equivalent) in engineering - electrical, mechanical or civil, and * At least two years' relevant post-study work experience, including development of large-scale wind projects * Proven experience working with councils, authorities, and multi-core engineering contractors. * Strong decision-making skills and ability to assess technical and commercial viability. * Dedication to team values including collaboration, integrity, audacity, and hard work. * Proficiency in French is a plus. * Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. * Must have a clean police report with no charges pending.
