**Machine Operator - Manufacturing (Penrose)**
**Penrose | $29.74 per hour | Rotating Shifts**
Our client is a well-known New Zealand manufacturer supplying high-quality building products nationwide. Due to continued demand, we're looking for a reliable Machine Operator to join their Penrose operation on Great South Road.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in doing things safely and accurately, and is keen to build a long-term career in manufacturing.

**About the Role**
You'll be working on semi-automated production lines that apply coatings to steel used for long-run roofing products.
Your day will include:
* Setting up equipment and assisting in the paint room
* Moving paint drums and materials (manual handling required)
* Loading raw materials into machinery
* Carrying out quality and compliance checks
* Cleaning and maintaining machinery and work areas
* Moving finished product safely around the warehouse
**Shift Pattern**
Rotating roster (Monday-Saturday):
* **Day shift:** 6:45am - 7:00pm
* **Night shift:** 6:45pm - 7:00am
You'll need to be comfortable working both days and nights as part of the rotation.
**What We're Looking For**
We're seeking someone who is:
* Has experience in machine operation and manufacturing (essential)
* Self-motivated with a strong "can-do" attitude
* Comfortable with physical, hands-on work
* Safety focused and reliable
* Able to follow processes and quality standards
* Confident communicating in English (written and verbal)
Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience is helpful - but the right attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are just as important.
