Some people live in their own homes and receive specific support to assist with their needs or to help them pursue their interests. The focus of service development is on facilitating a range of options to best suit the aspirations of people who require some assistance to live their lives. The Organisational Quality Lead plays a pivotal role in that mission - ensuring our systems, services, and people are effective, and continuously improving. In this role, you’ll take the lead on embedding high-quality practices that go beyond compliance by supporting teams to thrive and services to evolve. Through strong partnerships, coaching, and insight, you'll help shape a values-driven culture that prioritises learning, inclusion, and excellence. Key Responsibilities | Ngā Haepapa Matua • Quality Assurance & Auditing – Lead internal audits and quality reviews to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, contracts, and health & safety obligations. • Organisational Partnership – Collaborate with service teams and leaders to identify risk, celebrate strengths, and close service delivery gaps. • Leadership Coaching – Mentor and support leaders to integrate quality into everyday decision-making, practice, and team culture. • Continuous Improvement – Drive improvement plans using evidence, data, and insight to strengthen organisational capability and outcomes. • Governance & Strategy – Contribute to high-level decision-making through active participation in our Quality Committee. • Culture & Innovation – Champion a culture of learning, reflection, and innovation—ensuring we’re not just meeting standards, but leading them. About You | Ko koe tēnei You are a systems thinker with a passion for enabling people and improving services. You bring curiosity, clarity, and compassion to your work, and know how to influence without control. With deep knowledge of the disability sector being advantageous and a strong foundation in quality practice, you’re ready to make a lasting impact. You thrive on collaboration, solving problems, and can switch between big-picture thinking and getting the detail right. What You’ll Bring | Ōu Pūkenga me Ngā Wheako • A tertiary qualification in Health Science, Disability Studies, Quality Management, Social Sciences, or a related field • 3–5 years' experience in quality assurance, compliance, or service improvement—preferably within health or disability support services • Strong working knowledge of the NZ disability support landscape, including Enabling Good Lives, Mana Whaikaha, and the Disability Strategy • Familiarity with key legislation including the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, the Privacy Act, and the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumer Rights • Demonstrated experience in internal and external audit processes, risk management, and continuous improvement • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and influence across all levels • High levels of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively • A people-centred approach grounded in curiosity, empathy, and a commitment to positive change Team Member Benefits | Ngā Painga mō ngā Mema o te Tīma • WellYOU!
