Parnell Classic Loop Walk

Hi Friends, This evening we'll do the Parnell Classic Loop Walk Along the way, we'll see native birds and trees, churches, harbour views, roses and early Auckland houses. This walk has rough gravel paths, steep stairs and inclines. A moderate walk at a moderate pace. Bring your good self along to explore an area that may be new to you, get some exercise and meet friends. Be prepared for whatever the weather throws at us: check the weather report at www.metservice.com It's still a bit chilly in the evening, a warm jacket would be worthwhile. And a torch, although we should be back before it's too dark. If you have an interest in exercise, new places, local knowledge and light hearted chitchat, then this walk is a great way to spend your Tuesday evening. Good training for a Great Walk or recovering runners. Fitness requirement for your enjoyment: Be able to keep a 13 min/km pace for 1.5 hours, with no assistance or rest. 🌳Event: Let’s Walk - 1.5 hr urban loop walk - Parnell 🌳Where: 3 Titoki Street. Meet & greet from 6:15pm, **we start walking at 6:30pm. In fairness to those who arrive on time, I won't be waiting.** If you're late, we'll be walking down Titoki Street, on to Domain Drive and down Parnell Road to the village. 🌳Transport: Carpool - organise amongst yourselves. Post where you can be picked up or where you are driving from in the event comments. Negotiate with your driver for petrol payment Buses: 781 to Museum, Inner & Outer Links on Parnell Road 🌳Parking: Museum Car park, Titoki Street and surrounding roads Toilets available in the walk 🌳Bring: A sense of adventure, good humour, water, snacks, wear clothing and shoes suitable for outdoor summer exercise. I ask for a $2 NZ payment, either cash or deposit to this bank account: 12-3126-0720453-02. This pays for Meetup fees ($415), 1st Aid kit & further safety equipment.
