New Years Eve Countdown on Mt Eden Summit - Sky Tower Fireworks Displays & Fun

Hi there.. Lets spend the last few hours of 2025...with Auckland Social Events...friends and new people....and see in 2026 with an unforgettable urban walk up to the Summit of Mt Eden, and watch the fireworks and dazzling laser light show on Sky Tower and the Auckland Harbour Bridge , with the sounds being synchronized by More FM 91.8 FM with a Playlist of the top songs of 2025. We will walk up to the Summit and secure a spot at the Viewing Areas overlooking the City below the Maunga/Mountain of Mt Eden/ Maungawhau. Joining other public visiting here too...this is the highest volcano in Auckland that has a Birds Eye View of the Sky Tower. In the final hours before Midnight a collection of " Special Moments " will shine on the Sky Tower from 9pm, leading up to Midnight when the Fireworks and Laser Light Shows begin all over the Auckland CBD including the Auckland Harbour Bridge. Gather your favourite people together and lets combine them with others from Auckland Social Events and create an amazing New Year's Eve party on the top of Mount Eden. Bring along everything you need to keep yourself warm and happy and fed and hydrated and carry a portable picnic chair or something similar to sit on as we join the countdown to 2026. A handheld torch or Headlight or your phone will be helpful as its dark on top of Mt Eden. We will gather in the nearby Mt Eden Village at 9pm on the corner of Mt Eden Road and Stokes Rd. This is outside the Vegetables Shop and opposite Frasers Cafe. Arrive earlier to eat dinner here ...there's plenty of takeaway food choices and dine in ..and a public bar...nearby to gather beforehand with friends. From our Meeting and Greetings place at 9pm we will walk for approximately an hour to reach the Summit and the special flat areas of grass here overlooking the City and bang in front of the Sky Tower. At almost 200 metre high...Bringing in the New Year here will be absolutely fantastic...with the best vibes and views of Mt Eden and nearby suburbs . Large crowds gather here too...so we'll aim to be here seated by 10.30pm...allowing plenty of time for photos and socializing...as we count down to 2026. From midnight onwards returning to Mt Eden Village is easier following the road down from the summit...to our cars...taking around 30 minutes. so bring along wool layers to keep yourself warm and comfy. Wear strong walking shoes and perhaps use a hiking pole for night walking. WHEN- New Year Eve - Wednesday 31st December 2025. Meet and Greet is 9pm on the Corner of MT EDEN ROAD AND STOKES RD. Use the side streets off Mt Eden Road for Carparking. I recommend the quieter ones off STOKES Rd..Including Brightside, Shipherd & Marama Roads off Epsom Ave. Toilets nearby our Meet Up Location and on Mt Eden . No vehicles are allowed up Mt Eden. Only people. There's various new steel boardwalks that carry people all over the grassed areas on the Summit and lower slopes.
