A Range Officer at Real Guns is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of our shooting range and ensuring our Clients have a fun and memorable experience. * MUST hold a current New Zealand Firearm's License! -Do Not apply without one. To Succeed in this role candidates need to be able to demonstrate competency in the safe and proper use of various caliber firearms, be client facing and comfortable working in fast paced environments. An eye for detail and strong observational skill are also a pre-requisite, as well as an ability to communicate respectfully with people of all nationalities and levels of firearm competency. Key duties will include; *Monitor the shooting range to ensure all safety protocols are followed by clients, shooting range members and staff. *Provide safety briefings and instructions to range users before range activities begin. *Assist shooters in the proper and safe handling and use of firearms when necessary. *Inspect and maintain range facilities and equipment, ensuring all are in safe working order. *Support special events, training programs, and competitions held at the range. *Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Range Officer or supervisor as required. Applicants with National RO qualifications are desirable, but in house training is provided. You must maintain good grooming, have a personable disposition and be able to host and entertain clients in a safe yet fun manner. We are a tight crew, and welcome anyone who has a old school work ethic. It can be a high pressure environment. The right applicant needs to have a cool head, be able to think on their feet and be a critical thinker.
