This role is perfect for someone who enjoys technical detailing work, values accuracy, and thrives in a collaborative environment. About the Role Your primary focus will be creating high-quality frame and truss layouts using Mitek 20/20 or Sapphire Structures. You'll work closely with internal teams, builders, architects, and engineers to ensure every project runs smoothly from concept to production. A solid understanding of NZ construction standards and the ability to interpret building plans are essential. What You'll Be Doing * Preparing precise shop drawings, cutting lists, and material take-offs using industry-standard software. * Reviewing architectural and structural documentation to develop accurate layouts. * Clarifying project requirements with external stakeholders and internal production teams. * Ensuring all designs align with NZ Building Code, NZS3604, and applicable regulations. * Optimising detailing for efficiency, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness. * Contributing to quality assurance checks prior to production. * Keeping detailed records and documentation throughout each project. What You Bring * At least 5 years' experience in NZ frame & truss detailing. * Strong capability with Mitek 20/20 and/or Sapphire. * Thorough knowledge of NZ construction practices and regulations. * Confident in reading and interpreting architectural/structural plans. * Excellent problem-solving skills and a meticulous eye for detail. * Ability to handle multiple jobs while maintaining high accuracy. * A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills. Preferred (But Not Essential) * A qualification in carpentry, drafting, or a related technical field. * Background in a frame and truss manufacturing environment. * Familiarity with prefabrication and timber framing systems.
