About the role My client is a Tier 1 civil and infrastructure contractor delivering large-scale transport and structural projects across New Zealand. They are seeking an experienced Site Foreman to lead on-site operations for a high-profile Auckland project. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys driving results on the ground - coordinating teams, ensuring safety standards, and delivering to programme and quality targets. Key responsibilities * Supervise daily site activities and manage crews and subcontractors. * Coordinate plant, materials, and resources to meet project milestones. * Interpret drawings and specifications for civil and structural works. * Maintain QA records, site reports, and health & safety compliance. * Liaise closely with Project Managers and Engineers to resolve site issues. They're seeking a Lead Estimator to take charge of their tendering process, analysing drawings, preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting project delivery from bid to build. You'll be the commercial anchor between design and delivery, ensuring each quote reflects the precision, value and quality their clients expect. Key responsibilities * Lead the preparation of tenders, quotes, and pricing schedules. * Analyse plans, specs, and BoMs to ensure accurate cost estimates. * Liaise with designers, workshop, and site teams to confirm buildability and pricing. * Review supplier and subcontractor pricing and negotiate where necessary. * Maintain cost databases, templates, and historical data. * Support bid reviews, forecasting, and post-award handovers. Civil Engineering Technician
Duties and Responsibilities • Onsite monitoring of civil construction activities • preparing sketches, charts, tabulations, plans for civil engineering works such as drainage and roads • performing and directing fieldwork and laboratory testing • interpreting work assignment instructions, applying appropriate procedures and selecting equipment • collecting and analysing data, and carrying out computations • estimating material costs and ensuring finished works are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions • inspecting civil engineering works, and organising and supervising maintenance and repair work • conducting field and laboratory tests of construction materials and soils, and collecting data for traffic surveys • Ensure Quality, health & safety aspects are completed • Review project specifications • Prepare ITP (Inspection and Testing Plans) • Ensure project specifications are satisfied • Implement contract quality plan • Undertake field tests such as CBR, Clegg Hammer and compile results for submission • Prepare as-builts for completed works • Providing management, coordination, and supervision of assigned projects works, undertaken by our labour or subcontractor resources • Monitor Productivity targets on-site • Prepare daily job pack for field crews • Review Site records done by field supervisors • Undertake daily review of completed works against the original programme Attributes & Skills Required. • Hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering • Minimum of 3years experience in a road maintenance or pavement construction role. • Proficient with NZ/Australian roading standards • Positive can-do attitude • Good people and leadership qualities • Reliable & Agile • Ability to develop, motivate and lead staff • Superior interpersonal skills • Not afraid to get their hands dirty • Ability to take initiative and work independently What We Offer • An opportunity to join a civil contractor that genuinely cares for its people • Small and family-oriented team. • Guaranteed 40 hours minimum per week, full-time permanent role • Salary for this position will be between $60,000 to $70,000 depending on experience • Able to work Monday – Saturday and nightshift as required • Attractive rates and benefits to attract the industries best • Down to earth and humanistic approachable management • Leading and working alongside a team of like-minded individuals. • South Auckland location About us Agile Infrastructure Services is a specialist Auckland Roading contractor based in South Auckland.
