About the Role * manage trail open and closures and ensure trails are signposted accordingly * assist with avalanche control * monitor weather and changes in conditions and maintain records * administer first aid as required * coordinate patient evacuation from the ski area to the Medical Centre About You * previous experience as a Patroller is essential and supporting references must be provided * the ability to quickly build a rapport with all guests and staff, coupled with strong teamwork skills * applicants must be comfortable working in an alpine environment in a variety of weather conditions * good knowledge of ski area snow conditions, and the ability to ski or snowboard expertly in all weather on all terrain * a commitment to ongoing training and development throughout the season * an understanding that employment is subject to the vagaries of the weather and the hours of work cannot be guaranteed Skills and Qualifications * qualifications in Pre-hospital Emergency Care + must be supported by attendance at a 5-day scenario-based course * Avalanche Safety Stage 1 is compulsory

The Attendance Youth Advocate role supports tamariki and rangatahi aged five to 15 years old by working directly with and walking alongside the young person, with the aim of supporting them back onto education pathways. This position is 26 hours per week, based in Ashburton. It has two aspects: 20 hours within our Attendance Service, and 6 hours supporting the coordination of our popular CACTUS after-school adventure programme. CACTUS delivers fun, challenging activities for young people, including three weekend camps each year and a five-day adventure camp in January. Applicants should: * Have well-developed verbal communication skills with young people and their families * Have well-developed written communication * Be able to work within, and have clear boundaries * Be sensitive to, and accommodating of, cultural and individual differences * Have the ability to develop effective relationships with schools and agencies * Have a passion for supporting young people being engaged in education and extracurricular activities * Have a level of physical fitness enabling them to join in on all aspects of physical activity that CACTUS participants are required to complete * Be willing to step outside of the usual duties to assist colleagues, respond to service needs, or ensure continuity of care. Flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to "step up" and offer help where needed are essential aspects of being part of our team. The Kaiāwhina Attendance – Cultural Specialist role provides culturally responsive support to tamariki, rangatahi, and their whānau to strengthen engagement in education. The role recognises the importance of whakapapa, man, and connection, ensuring that all interactions uphold the principles of manaakitanga and whanaungatanga. The Kaiāwhina works alongside other Kaiāwhina Attendance staff, schools, and community partners to address barriers to attendance and promote positive pathways for learning and wellbeing. This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, based in Ashburton. The key tasks of this position involve understanding and utilising key frameworks and strategies such as Ka Hikitia, Ka Hāpaitia, and Tau Mai Te Reo, along with understanding and utilising Pasifika frameworks and strategies such as the Action Plan for Pacific Education. This will require engagement with local iwi and Māori organisations, along with Pasifika networks and organisations. About the Role We’re on the lookout for a Technical Records Manager who loves getting the details right. In this role, you’ll take ownership of our aircraft maintenance and engineering records — keeping everything accurate, compliant, and running like clockwork. You’ll work closely with our Engineering Manager and wider team to make sure every logbook, work pack, and maintenance record meets CAA and company standards. What You’ll Be Doing * Maintaining and verifying aircraft logbooks, work packs, and component histories. * Keeping maintenance tracking systems accurate and up to date. * Monitoring aircraft and component life limits, AD/SB compliance, and scheduled maintenance. * Reviewing completed maintenance documentation for accuracy and compliance. * Managing the archiving and retrieval of technical records. * Collaborating with engineering, stores, and planning to keep all records current. What You’ll Bring * At least 3 years’ experience in aviation maintenance records or technical administration. * Solid understanding of CAA Part 43, Part 91, and Part 145 regulations. * Excellent attention to detail and a love for data accuracy. * Confidence with digital record systems and Microsoft Office. * Great communication skills and a proactive attitude. It’s a bonus if you have: * Experience in a Part 145 maintenance organisation. * A background in aviation engineering or airworthiness. * Knowledge of rotary-wing aircraft and component management.
