Machine Operator

We are looking for a machine Operator for one of our North Canterbury Crews. The position involves operating one of these machines- Grapple/Bucket Digger, Grapple Skidder or Forwarder. Depending on experience as to what machine. Preferably, you would be experienced in Forestry, but we are willing to look at someone wanting a change to Forestry and would look at a Trainee as well. We have a high focus on Health and Safety and Environmental compliance. The workday starts at 5.45am on the job with a Safety Meeting. Potentially travel could be over an hour to the job, which is paid at normal rates. You would normally be home between 4.30 and 5pm. The position is paid by the hour from home to home minus the lunch break. We pay for all training, and you would work towards a National Certificate in the role you are doing. Our Business is Drug free, and testing is undertaken regularly and randomly. We are also smoke and vape free and this would not be permitted while on site or in our vehicles. Fert Solutions is a locally owned and operating Fertiliser Contractor Operating 2 Iveco Spreader Trucks and 2 Tractor drawn Fertiliser Spreaders. This job is to driver our Iveco Trakker with an ERL Bin and Trailer which requires a class 5 license and does pasture, capital fertiliser and lime. We take a lot of pride in our gear, The truck is in very tidy condition and is well maintained At Fert Solutions, we don't work Sundays and we only occasionally work Saturdays during the peak season or depending on the weather throughout the week. Winter is our quiet time so we all have a break at some stage, if you're keen to do something else for the winter like skiing or the seeding in Aus all good! Our drivers must: * take a lot of pride in their work and the machines they operate, * have prior experience in agriculture * Hold a current clean class 5 drivers license. * be a great communicator and * be happy to work longer days in the spring during our busy season. We pay well for experienced operators and are happy to discuss travel allowance. Start date as soon as possible, our season runs through to end of April (for seasonal work) or Permanent full time for the right applicant. Experienced Beekeeper

Mt White Station is a 40,000ha high-country property in the unique Arthurs Pass area, home to a diverse business encompassing farming, beekeeping, and tourism. Our 1,200+ hive honey business produces high-quality Mānuka and Honeydew honey, with seasonal work on the West Coast. We are seeking an experienced and motivated beekeeper to join our team - someone who brings strong apiary skills and can contribute to honey processing and extraction operations, with knowledge of RMP compliance, or is keen to learn these elements of production. Ideally you’ll bring: • Minimum 3 years’ beekeeping experience, preferably in the South Island high country or similar environments. • Proven hive management skills, including disease identification and treatment, splitting, swarm control, seasonal planning, and honey harvesting. • Experience in honey extraction and processing, with the ability to maintain high product quality. • Working knowledge of RMP compliance and bulk honey processing requirements. • Class 2 and forklift licences. • Physically fit – able to lift up to 25kg. • Comfortable working away from base for up to 5 days at a time. • Positive attitude, good communication skills, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. • Willingness to work some weekends and nights during peak season. • Must be drug-free and able to pass pre-employment and random testing.
