Maintenance Fitter

We have a full-time, permanent position available at our Canterbury plant on Seafield Road, Ashburton. This position operates on a rotating roster, offering an excellent opportunity to enjoy a better work-life balance. The hourly rate will range from $38.00 - $42.00 per hour. About the Role: As a Maintenance Fitter, you will support the Engineering team by installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment across the site. Your contribution will help keep our production processes running efficiently, safely, and in line with all regulatory requirements. Our environment is fast-paced and hands-on, so we're looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and ready to take on a variety of maintenance challenges. Key Activities: * Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot mechanical equipment and systems * Perform routine preventative maintenance to minimise downtime * Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns and urgent repairs * Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and regulatory standards * Work collaboratively with the production and engineering teams * Accurately document all maintenance work and equipment issues * Participate in continuous improvement initiatives * Assist with installation of new machinery and equipment when required Skills we are looking for: * Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) * Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter in a manufacturing or processing environment * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * A strong commitment to health and safety practices * Willingness to work on a rotating roster If you're a motivated and skilled Maintenance Fitter looking for a long-term opportunity with a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you! Engineering Planner

Join our busy Engineering Department at ANZCO Foods in the position of Engineering Planner. This is a permanent full-time position reporting to our Engineering & Site Services Manager at our Canterbury plant on Seafield Road, Ashburton. As our Engineering Planner, you'll be part of a supportive team responsible for managing the planning and scheduling of preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance across the plant. This hands-on role is designed to give you practical, real-world experience in engineering operations and asset management. This is an opportunity for an engineering graduate to join a busy Engineering team in a hands-on role designed to giving you exposure to real-world engineering challenges. Duties and Responsibilities will include: * Ensuring the weekly forecasting plan is available on time * Distribution of weekly forecasting work packs on time * Running and distributing reports required for effective planning and scheduling * Preparing shutdown plans for the process areas (Minor routine & Major for shut) * Conducting/Coordinating planning meetings * Conducting/Coordinating briefing sessions * Full utilisation of resources for maintenance work * Providing reports as required for internal and external customers * Planning the functions of the maintenance team to achieve effective completion of work * Promote a proactive safety culture within the team and with contractors Skills and experience we are looking for: * Supervisory /maintenance knowledge * A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical / Electrical Trade Certificate with a minimum 3 years post trade experience. * Financial skills including estimating, budgeting, forecasting, analysis & reporting preferable * A sound understanding of technical maintenance techniques * Understanding of production process including technical process and equipment experience preferable * Experience in shutdown and maintenance planning preferable * Experience with CMMS, MS project applications and Excel.
