The successful candidate will play a crucial role our Rangiora Yard by operating heavy machinery to load materials efficiently. Responsibilities: - Operate loader machinery to load materials for transport to construction sites or private/commercial customers. - Ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment in compliance with safety regulations - Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance - Collaborate with yard staff to coordinate loading operations - Maintain accurate records of materials loaded. - Assist in the use of other yard-based machinery as required. - Adhere to all health and safety protocols to minimise risks in the yard. Qualifications: - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating loaders. - Valid Loader Operator licence and relevant certifications. - Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly. - Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks as required. - Problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Basic computer skills would be advantageous. The successful applicant is required to work some Saturday mornings on roster system.
