Kahurangi Studios is a design and make studio based in Auckland which merges art and engineering to create high quality technical goods out of salvaged and sustainable materials. For sale is 1 turntable. The last two photos are of other turntables we have made. We also do commissions. The unit has a 3cm marble plinth and platter which provides great vibration dampening and high inertia resulting in low rumble and excellent speed stability. The bearing and tonearm are mounted to an engineered acrylic chassis hidden beneath the plinths surface providing further vibration management and favourable sound qualities. It’s surround is a walnut frame which provides great visual contrast, warmth and texture.
