Bartender Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in line with company standards and NZ licensing laws. * Verify identification and ensure responsible service of alcohol. * Take customer orders, operate POS systems, and process payments accurately. * Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked bar area. * Monitor guest behaviour and manage alcohol consumption appropriately. * Deliver friendly, professional customer service at all times. * Follow all health, safety, and hygiene requirements. * Work collaboratively with the wider event team during peak service periods. Skills & Experience: * Previous bartending or hospitality experience. * Strong communication and customer service skills. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced event environment. * High standards of cleanliness and presentation. * Duty Manager's Certificate beneficial but not essential. Host Key Responsibilities: * Greet and welcome guests as the first point of contact. * Manage waitlists and seating to ensure smooth guest flow. * Maintain a tidy and organised front-of-house area. * Communicate effectively with service and kitchen teams. * Respond to guest enquiries and resolve issues professionally. * Uphold company standards for service, cleanliness, and guest experience. Skills & Experience: * Previous customer service experience, preferably in hospitality or events. * Confident, friendly, and professional communication style. * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. * Ability to remain calm under pressure. * Flexible availability across event days. Duty Manager Key Responsibilities: * Lead, manage, and direct hospitality teams during event operations. * Ensure compliance with NZ liquor licensing laws and host responsibility. * Allocate staff duties and supervise service delivery. * Act as the main escalation point for staff and guest concerns. * Monitor service quality, safety, and operational flow. * Manage incidents and intoxication concerns professionally. * Liaise with event and operations management to ensure smooth delivery. Skills & Experience: * Current NZ Duty Manager's Certificate (required). * Proven experience managing and directing teams in hospitality or events. * Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. * Ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume environment. * Sound knowledge of health and safety requirements. Address and resolve customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally. • Maintain optimal stock levels of beverages and supplies whilst making nightly stock orders. • Ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations, including licensing, health and safety, and fire regulations. Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and patrons. • Assist with the development and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain customers. Assist with the utilisation of social media, promotional campaigns, and partnerships to enhance the venue’s profile and drive foot traffic. • Ensure the venue is clean, well-maintained, and visually appealing at all times. Coordinate repairs and maintenance as needed.
