**Job Description**
**About the role:**
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive **Operations Coordinator** to join our team in Penrose. In this role, you will provide vital support and assistance to the Supervisor and Operations Manager, ensuring efficient scheduling, compliance, and administration across the day-to-day bulk and packaged gas operations. This is an office-based role with on-call support on weekends if required.
- Assist Packaged gas and Bulk teams by coordinating daily transport operations, scheduling deliveries, managing drivers, monitoring driver logbooks, work hours and preparing documentation and paperwork as required.
- Ensuring safe and cost-effective service that meets the customer demand by delivering sound administrative practices and processes.
- Supporting Finance team with preparing job sheets for reconciliation and accurate invoice processing.
- Monitor fleet maintenance schedules and ensure the maintenance schedules are met whilst managing and fulfilling all operational requirements.
- Coordinating toolbox meetings, booking travel/catering for events if required.
- Inducting and training new staff on administrative and operational tasks.
- Complying with relevant H&S and wellbeing policies, procedures, safe systems of work and event reporting.
- Any ad hoc administrative tasks as requested by the Manager.
**For this role, you will have:
- Proven track record in providing personal and administrative support to managers and or teams (preferably in a transport industry)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Intermediate MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook)
- Ability to work from office 5 days a week.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of the road transport sector with operations background
- NCEA level 3 or relevant industry experience.
