




We’re seeking an experienced and hands-on Civil Ground Worker to join one of our key clients – a company known for delivering top-quality outcomes in the infrastructure and traffic management sectors. You will step into the Role of Ground Leader, starting as a helper to the rest of the team when needed – and working your way into a leadership position as time and experience within the company pass by. ________________________________________ What We’re Looking For • Approx 2 years’ experience in a similar supervisory/leadership role in Civil or Traffic operations • A proven ability to lead from the front, both on the tools and through effective team management • Strong excavator and Class 2 truck operation skills • HydroVac experience is a bonus • Paperwork and reporting skills – ideally be confident with SSSP, pre-starts, hazard IDs, and progress reporting • Someone who thrives under pressure, holds high personal standards, and sets the tone for the rest of the crew • Weekend and night work is part of the role. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Team Leadership – manage and motivate a high-performing crew and subcontractors • On-site delivery – ensure projects are completed to scope, on time, and above the profit margin • Health, Safety & Wellbeing – uphold a safety-first culture and identify hazards early • Equipment Maintenance – oversee the upkeep of diggers and other plant, including COFs and servicing • Documentation & Reporting – track job progress, complete site paperwork, and manage digital data via 3PM system • Flexibility – take on any role needed to keep operations moving, including night and weekend shifts ________________________________________ You’ll Need to Have • Class 2 driver’s licence • WTR Endorsements (We could possibly assist with getting these) • Strong working knowledge of Service Plans and mark-out processes • Effective communication skills and leadership presence • High attention to detail and strong time management • Reliable, honest, and hardworking – a role model for your team • The successful person will be required to pass a drug test and clear MOJ criminal check ________________________________________ In Return, You’ll Receive • Competitive package including company vehicle, phone, and laptop • A leadership role with real autonomy and respect • Opportunities for growth, training, and development • Be part of a team that values safety, performance, and people ________________________________________ While this role will start off on the ground – you will be able to quickly rise to be the go-to leader of the ground team within this company, training and experience will come before this.
