Involves operating basic power tools and machinery Due to several new projects picked up and a number of projects in the pipeline we are looking to expand our team. Skilled construction workers required. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the construction site, materials, tools and machinery. A good understanding and ability to adhere to H&S standards; reliability and punctuality is a must. Ideally, we are looking for people who have experience working on construction sites, further requirements will be: - Must pass a pre-employment drug screen - Reliable and punctual - Good communicator who shows initiative Duties: • Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment. • Prepare work sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding. • Mix, pour, and spread concrete, asphalt, and other materials. • Assist carpenters, bricklayers, concreters, and other tradespeople. • Clean and maintain construction tools, machinery, and equipment. • Erect and dismantle temporary structures such as scaffolding, barricades, and ramps. • Operate basic power tools and construction machinery under supervision. • Follow all workplace health and safety regulations and site instructions. • Assist in measuring, marking, and layout of construction materials. • Carry out general site clean-up duties during and after construction work. Work Conditions: * Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. * Manual labour including lifting, climbing, bending, and use of tools are required. Benefits: * Pay Rate: $25 - $30 per hour * Hours: Minimum of 30 hours * Monday to Friday, may be occasional Weekend Work * Competitive Rates All applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand and be able to pass drug testing and MOJ background check.
