Collaborate with clients and internal teams for successful project delivery We are seeking an experienced Switchboard Electrical Engineer to join our growing Core Switchboards team in New Lynn, Auckland. You will lead and deliver high-quality LV switchboard designs, support project delivery from concept to commissioning, and ensure all systems meet technical, safety, and client requirements. This role suits a detail-oriented engineer with strong design capability and idealy some experience in switchgear or switchboard manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: Design & Engineering - Lead and produce designs for primary electrical systems, and mechanical services. - Produce single line diagrams, GA layouts, detailed wiring diagrams, and load schedules. - Select and specify appropriate electrical equipment to meet technical and client requirements. Testing, Monitoring & Commissioning - Assist with troubleshooting, FAT testing, inspections, and issue resolution during manufacturing and installation phases. Project Coordination - Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery. - Provide technical guidance to production teams and respond to design queries throughout the manufacturing process. - Maintain documentation and support continuous improvement across design and engineering activities. About You: - 5+ years of electrical engineering experience, with some experience in switchgear or switchboard manufacturing. - Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent) - Strong understanding of LV power systems, distribution design, and protective device selection. - Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office - Excellent communication skills with a detail-focused, reliable work ethic. - Valid NZ driver’s licence. - You must hold NZ residency or a valid open NZ work visa.
