Our vision at Whakatakapokai is to create a unique, culturally focused, therapeutic, safe and restorative care environment that enables rangatahi to strengthen their connection with whānau, hapū, iwi and their culture; and develop the skills to make positive decisions to support them to flourish and transform their lives, reducing the risk of reoffending. Whakatakapokai is strongly focused on achieving positive change in rangatahi through education, skill development, vocational programmes, and therapeutic and cultural interventions using a Māori world centric view (Te Ao Māori). Our overall goal is that rangatahi who come into our care are positively integrated back into their community with new-found value and mana. **Mō te tūnga | About the role** As part of the multidisciplinary team, the **Residential Administrator** role provides a comprehensive range of administrative services that support, enable and enhance workplace operations. Operating in an environment where no two days are the same, Residential Administrators support a variety of functions that uphold highly effective and varied operations of a Youth Justice Residence. Key requirements of the role include: - Minimum of 3 years' experience in office administration or customer service role and/or supporting payroll functions - A high level of competence in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite - Strong relationship building skills and experience dealing with members of the public - Well-developed written and verbal communication skills - Effective organisation, planning and time management skills - Ability to work well as part of a team, use your initiative and a sense of humour! - Skilled at managing competing priorities and being flexible to change in the workplace - A clean, current full driver's license is required for this role **Nōu te rourou | What's in it for you** Oranga Tamariki offer an impartial remuneration package, that offers progression annually for experience through tenure.
