Waterblasting & Cleaning Technician
With an established waterblasting business already in place, we are now in growth mode and looking to reduce lead times for customers. We are needing a dedicated, reliable and friendly Waterblasting Cleaning Technician who can service clients in the Wellington and further. We are looking to hire individuals that have pride in their work, customer focused and are looking for a long-term career. What you will be doing: Building and house soft washing Roof washing and treatment General waterblasting Gutter cleaning Title - Water Blasting Technician Location - Hamilton Pay rate - $25 - 30 (negotiable) Work Hours - Work hours and Pay Minimum work hours per week is 40 hours and maximum at 50 hours. Must have + Understanding the importance of providing great customer service and experience + Holds a full, clean, current NZ Drivers Licence + Has a clean and tidy appearance Is able to work well in a team and also autonomously unsupervised + Demonstrates a strong commitment to safe work practices and maintains a vigilant approach to personal and collective safety, ensuring the well-being of colleagues, customers, and the public. + Possesses practical problem-solving skills with the ability to undertake minor equipment repairs on-site. Full training will be provided, but existing mechanical knowledge is advantageous. + Not afraid to get your hands dirty and get stuck into the job at hand Site Safe and Heights certification is an advantage, but not essential – for the right person we will support you with these qualifications + Demonstrates flexibility to work overtime hours, including occasional weekends on a rota basis, to meet the demands of the role. This may involve shifts outside normal working hours, such as evenings and early mornings, depending on the needs of the customer and compliance requirements. + Reliable, honest and self-motivated A willingness to work outside all year round (when safe to do so) Comfortable sometimes working at heights Work Environment: Tools, equipment, machinery used: Large industrial cleaning equipment and materials, industrial vehicles, and basic computer systems. Working conditions: Normal work environment (on-site and off -site locations), outside work, extreme temperatures, flexible schedules, may require some weekend work. Physical effort required: Some heavy lifting, working with equipment, confined spaces, and heights. Travel required: Driving will be required for this position. Training Full training will be given to the successful applicant as well as external training and all the gear required for this role. Once fully trained, you will be in charge of your truck and equipment to attend and run jobs on your own. Sous Chef and Chef de Partie
We have positions available for experienced Chefs for Dockside Restaurant & Bar located on Queens Wharf in Wellington. We are open every day of the year for lunch and dinner (brunch on weekends) and you must be available to work days, nights and weekends as required. We have multiple dining areas and regularly host large functions. We employ around 50 experienced staff. We offer a competitive hourly rate, staff discounts across our three venues, a friendly, inclusive and enjoyable working environment and you will work alongside a talented, established and welcoming team. This is a full-time permanent position with 35-45 hours rostered per week with a starting pay rate of $30 - $35 per hour. We also have opportunities available for senior and junior chefs at our other venues. You must have cooking qualifications and a minimum of three years work experience. You must be NZ citizens, NZ residents or hold a valid NZ work visa. We are an accredited employer. Your duties will include: Manage any section within the kitchen. Foster and encourage a harmonious, inclusive and positive work environment. Have excellent communication skills (verbal and writing) with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally and concisely with the kitchen, front of house and management teams. Maintain wage costs while ensuring service runs smoothly. Check and ‘polish’ dishes before they reach the pass. Ensure that dishes are prepared and cooked according to Dockside standards and recipes. Ensure effective stock purchase, storage and rotation. Adhere to cleaning, maintenance and staff schedules. Fully understand the functional administration of Dockside restaurant. Monitor all function run-sheets ensuring stock is ordered in a timely manner. Ensure all staff are taking their scheduled breaks. Ensure staff meals are on time with dietary requirements catered to. Maintain a detailed knowledge of all Dockside menus and be able to explain dishes and ingredients and be ready to cater for special requests wherever possible. Adhere to the Dockside Allergen Protocol and be able to quickly adapt dishes to remove or substitute allergen ingredients where possible. Ensure all Dockside policies, procedures, standards and guidelines are carefully adhered to. Ensure compliance with legal and house requirements for health and safety and food hygiene. Perform administrative tasks as will be communicated by superiors. Use HospoConnect and other approved online systems for ordering. Keep all working areas clean and tidy including dry-store, chillers, storage areas, and pass. Assist Executive Chef in staff training and development. Complete the Dockside Food Control Plan daily, weekly and monthly tasks. Problem solve and provide effective solutions to any issues should they arise. Arrange for returns and credits of faulty stock or incorrect deliveries. Assist Executive Chef with menu development including creating monthly specials. Report the need for maintenance to Executive Chef / General Manager, or arrange repairs. General hospitality duties.
