I am a local well known artist, taking part in several Kapiti Coast art trails, exhibiting in the Academy of Fine arts in Wellington, local exhibitions, & in my own galleries in Te Horo & now in Kapanui Road Waikanae. I have sold many paintings, both locally, and to overseas tourists. My paintings have been displayed in Plimmerton at various venues, where we lived for 25 years. A few years ago my daughters , sisters and I held a successful exhibition in the Pataka gallery, Porirua. This is another of my Kapiti paintings, - The Waimea Stream outlet in Waikanae. I paint from my own photographs, many shot when we were on holiday in the beautiful south island and up north. I use only the best artist quality oil paints. This Waikanae painting is in the 'wrap around ' style, on a stretched canvas, and measures 60cm x 50cms. Artist : Betty Baldwin
