Northland Waste
Far North District, Northland Region, New Zealand
Class 5 Driver/Operator – Northland Waste (Kerikeri Region) Are you a skilled, safety-focused Class 5 Driver with WTR — and ideally digger — experience? At Northland Waste, we’re proud to be Kiwi-owned, community-driven, and built on good people who back each other and look out for the team every day. We’re looking for a reliable Driver/Operator to join our Kerikeri team — someone confident behind the wheel, steady on the controls, and a strong team player. What’s the role? This is a local position involving the operation of a Class 5 line haul Hook Truck, transporting bulk recycling and waste between our sites in the North. You’ll also assist with loading materials as needed, and from time to time may hop on the digger — so a WTR endorsement and digger experience is preferred. Here at Northland Waste No two days are quite the same — and you’ll be part of a team that knows how to get the job done safely and with a lot of pride. Your day-to-day will include: *Driving and operating Class 5 vehicles safely and efficiently. *Operating machinery as needed (excavators/diggers) — WTR endorsement required. *Keeping vehicles, tools, and gear clean, tidy, and in good working order. *Working in a team that values reliability, good communication, and mucking in. *Following all health, safety procedures — no shortcuts. *Working independently, and occasionally as part of a team, in a role that gets you out and about in the beautiful North each day. What We’re Looking For: *A current Class 5 licence and preferably WTR digger experience. *Solid driving experience (waste industry experience a bonus!). *A positive attitude, good communication skills, and a strong work ethic. *A customer-focused attitude to servicing our sites. What We Offer: *Competitive remuneration package *Training and clear progression pathways for the right candidate *Health insurance and a mobile plan after one year of service Why Northland Waste?
