Large vintage powder bowl/vanity jar with silver plate lid

This large powder bowl or vanity container most likely dates to the mid twentieth century c. 1940-60. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. It is a great size which increases the range of items it could hold. There is a small black inclusion in the glass internally that dates to the original manufacture. The silver plate lid is also in excellent condition with no significant damage - but the usual tiny knocks consistent with age and use.
