I'm having a dun room clean out, I have for auction a very rare air rifle, the Britannia was only made from 1906-1908, I believe that this particular model is a later model, maybe 07 or 08, as it has the 'seasaw' rear sight, this air rifle is extremely well machined, which was the downfall of the Britannia, as they just cost too much to make. They are an extremely accurate and powerful air rifle, they used to be shot at 50 yards and beyond accurately in competition. They have two power settings. This rifle cocks and shoots but may need a new seal, which is not a big deal as they are made from leather. There are a couple of non original screws which could be browned to match the metalwork. The metal work and stock are in very nice condition, and the woodwork is high grade and has a lovely finish.
