Description

We are contracted to NZ Post to deliver not only parcels, but also mail, magazines newspapers, and unaddressed advertising material to a designated rural delivery area with over 1000 delivery points. We are looking for a someone to join our small team to regularly work 2 days per week who also has the flexibility to work more when required - potentially at short notice. In order to make your deliveries efficiently, accurately, and safely you will assist with the sorting of items in the morning at NZ Post's Waipapa depot and be solely responsible for loading your van. Requirements, skills and experience * Clean class 1 drivers license. * Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test and MOJ prior convictions report. * Reasonable level of fitness and the ability to lift parcels up to 25kg regularly during the work day. * No problem with working outdoors in any weather. * Good memory and an eye for detail. * Have shown the ability to work unsupervised in the past. * Some prior experience dealing with customers would be advantageous. This role is more complex and challenging than a regular courier role and this is reflected in the hourly rate offered.
